Ryley Wheeler is a graphic communication student based in New York City, focused on visual storytelling across print, publication, digital, and video platforms. His work emphasizes clarity, structure, and intentional design, with a particular interest in layout systems, branding, typography, and production-driven design.
Trained as a painter, Wheeler brings a strong sense of composition, color, and visual rhythm into his design practice, bridging fine art sensibilities with contemporary communication design.
He currently serves as Graphics Director of Encounters, Baruch College’s literary and creative magazine, where he leads the publication’s visual direction. In this role, he collaborates closely with writers, editors, and designers to develop cohesive layouts and thoughtful design systems that support and elevate the magazine’s themes.
